Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)

XAT : Jamshedpur

  • Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur conduct Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) in January every year, on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). The entrance exam would be conducted in online mode.

XAT Participating Institutes

 

                XAT score will be accepted by more than 150 B-schools in the country. The participating institutes are either Xavier Associate Management Institutes (XAMI) or Non-XAMI. Last year, the number of XAMI was 11 and number of non-XAMI was 145. Here are some of the top colleges in the list:

XAT Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or Institute. The minimum duration of the programme has to be three years.
  • Age limit – There is no age limit to apply for XAT.
  • XAT Eligibility for NRI/Foreign candidates – NRI or foreign national candidates have to apply through GMAT Candidates from Dubai or Nepal are exempted from applying through GMAT scores as XAT will be conducted in these two international cities.

 

XAT Admit Card

The admit card of XAT is available online for the candidates who ssuccessfully fill the application form along with the application fee.

XAT Cut off for GMP Program – 68 percentile

Some participating institutes conduct GD and PI for the final selection while some conduct WAT and PI. It varies from institute to institute. The B-schools may also consider criteria like past academic records, work experience or the overall profile of a candidate.

 

New Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern- Essay Writing section has been removed. They are Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA & DI), General Knowledge (GK).

Marking Scheme – Each question will carry 1 mark and for each wrong answer, 1/4th of the total marks allotted to a question will be deducted. There is negative marking of 0.05 marks also involved for un-attempted questions as well, beyond 8.
