Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. It is constituted by two different examinations –

A student can take a maximum of 3 attempts for JEE Main.

B.ARCH./B.PLANNING Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics. 4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject) 65% minimum in 12th class

AGE CRITERIA

  • Candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1994 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2019 exam.
  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), must have been born on or after October 1, 1989 to be eligible for JEE Main. Candidates of these categories have been given a relaxation of 5 years.
  • Note: Date of birth will be considered as mentioned in the Secondary Education Board/ University certificate.

Syllabus and Exam pattern

  • The syllabus for JEE Main primary constitutes the topics covered in class 11 and 12 of the central boards such as CBSE, ISC and state boards. Approximately, 45% of the paper is prepared from class 11th syllabus and 55% from class 12th syllabus.

Questions: 90 questions
Exam Duration: 3 hours
Language for Question Paper: English or Hindi
Language for Question Paper:

For Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli cities

(English, Hindi or Gujarati)  students have to select the language  during registration.
Marking Scheme: +4 and -1 for a correct and an incorrect

MARKING SCHEME

The number of questions in JEE Advanced are not fixed. They vary every year. So, maximum marks cannot be defined. From the previous years’ analysis, here we have inferred the marking scheme of JEE Advanced Pattern 2018. Candidates can check the expected marking scheme from the table below:
